Outside of work, Dakota enjoys DIY home renovation, reading, improv comedy, thrifting, weightlifting, and spending time with family. Married with a young toddler, two dogs, eight chickens, and nearly forty koi, Dakota also has a passion for creating beautiful spaces on a budget through creativity, repurposing, and thoughtful design.

Dakota regularly donates household items to local thrift organizations and Interfaith Sanctuary, participates in blood drives through the American Red Cross, has volunteered for Greenbelt clean-up projects, and even served as a bone marrow donor for a leukemia patient in Canada.
